Meet Yajaira Gomez
Rev. Dr. Yajaira Gomez is a dynamic, multilingual Christian leader and speaker. With advanced degrees from McMaster University (M.Div) and Tyndale Seminary (D.Min), she brings a wealth of theological knowledge and real-world experience to her work. Yajaira’s inspiring messages have been shared globally, captivating audiences with her warmth, wisdom, and unwavering faith. As an Associate Pastor at Central Community Church, she has been instrumental in fostering a welcoming and inclusive environment for newcomers to Canada. Her passion for connecting with people from diverse cultures has led to significant growth and transformation within the church community. Additionally, as an adjunct faculty member at Masters College & Seminary, Yajaira is dedicated to mentoring the next generation of Christian leaders.

How we started
In April 2006, Yajaira went on a seven-week internship to the Democratic Republic of Congo in Africa. Within a few days of arrival, she was deeply moved by the living conditions she witnessed in the villages. Yajaira, who had always felt a call to serve others, was then asked to bring the Gospel Message to a Business Couples Ministry in Bukavu. Upon hearing the Message of the Cross and experiencing the power of the Holy Spirit, Yajaira was referred to teach and preach over 50 times in 49 days to the surrounding communities. It was during this transformative experience that Yajaira felt compelled to take action. Inspired by the resilience of the people she met, she founded Lifegiving Ministries.
